When Induction Hardening Is Suitable

Induction hardening is designed for components that need wear resistance in defined surface zones without heating the entire part in the same way as a furnace process. It can support selective hardening patterns, controlled case depths and repeatable processing for compatible production batches.

The published 15 mm figure is a maximum capability, not a guaranteed result for every steel or component. Achievable depth and hardness depend on material response, geometry, coil configuration, power, frequency, quenching and the nominated inspection method.
